Ex-NFL linebacker Lawrence Taylor is facing charge of a second-degree misdemeanor after being released on bond following his arrest in traffic accident.
Playing for the New York Giants, Taylor was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1999 and competed in ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” this year. But what he did on Sunday night in Hialeah, Miami was not so decent as a star used to wear NFL jersey.
A Florida Highway Patrol spokesman says Taylor left the scene after the accident causing property damage happened. There were no injuries in the hit-and-run crash and troopers did not conduct a sobriety test. Taylor’s excuse was that he thought he had hit a guard rail.
Anyway the rich former football player did not stay in the Miami-Dade County jail for long. Later that same night, he was released on $500 bond.

Giants OT McKenzie was inactive Sunday with groin injury
After starting 38 consecutive games together in the New York Giants’ offensive line, tackle Kareem McKenzie failed to start a 39th as he was inactive for Sunday night’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.
McKenzie was held out with a groin injury and replaced by Will Beatty, who was in his first year of wearing NFL jersey. Sunday’s game was the first game McKenzie missed since he missed a game late in 2006 season with a migraine headache. This time he got the injury in last week’s loss at New Orleans.
Other players inactive for Sunday game included receivers Sinorice Moss and Ramses Barden, offensive lineman Adam Koets, cornerback Aaron Ross, running back Gartrell Johnson, linebacker Michael Boley and defensive tackle Chris Canty.

Giants QB Manning will play against Saints in hometown
The New Orleans Saints’ Superdome is a familiar place to the New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, although this Sunday will be the first time he plays a game in the building. As the youngest son of Saints legend Archie Manning, Eli went to the Superdome almost every weekend the Saints were home. His returning to the Superdome just makes Sunday’s game even more attractive.
Eli appeared to be fine after playing less than a half in the Giants’ blowout win over the Oakland Raiders. But to be cautious, Coach Tom Coughlin only allowed the quarterback to take a limited number of snaps in Wednesday practice and said Manning will do a little more work in Thursday’s practice and step it up again on Friday.
It is expected that Eli’s family, including his father Archie, will be present to watch the matchup between two of the NFL’s five remaining unbeaten teams: 5-0 Giants V.S. 4-0 Saints. A good question is: will Archie wear Saints jersey to support his old team or Giants jersey to support his son's team?

Cowboys QB Romo will start Sunday game against Giants despite injured ankle
The Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo sprained his ankle in the second quarter against Tampa Bay, but with that injury he still passed for a career-high 353 yards and three touchdowns, and planned to start as schedule on Sunday night in the game against the New York Giants.
Although Romo still needed to walk around with his foot wrapped in ice before practice Wednesday, he said that he would be fine to play on Sunday. "I'll be fine," Romo said. "There's nothing wrong with it. … It will be 100 percent.”
But the Giants have an outstanding defensive line, and Romo knows well that they have a bunch of guys that can rotate in and he will face a strong Giants front seven. However, the Cowboys are confident in Romo’s ability. Indeed, he is good at eluding defenders in the pocket and moving long enough to create big plays. So it is really a game worth high expectation.
